From the time a child is born their brain begins working and grasping on to as much information as possible. They slowly began to hold their heads, crawl, walk and talk. Their brains are like a sponge at this young and impressive time in their lives, and their time in pre-school becomes a vital part of what and how they learn in these crucial years.
Of course convenience and cost come into play when deciding upon a pre school for your child. However there are a few other things to check for when sending your precious child to their first home away from home.
• The pre school should be licensed by the state.
• The teachers should have training working with pre-school aged children. The teachers should also have educational backgrounds.
• The turn over rate for teachers at the pre school should be low. The staff should be stable.
• The classroom should be a safe and clean environment, with no leniency
• Does the teacher address all the students as a group at all times, or is there
any one on one time with student
• There should be a schedule to keep the children entertained and intellectually stimulated.
